You’ve twisted our arm — again — so we’re making Print Shop available on all our Workspace plans, including Lifetime. The point some of you made is a good one. On Lifetime and Basic Queensberry supplies the product — you’re making a profit on the printing and products, so do us a deal ;-) So here it is — the only difference between our three Workspace plans now is the data limit, and that you’ll need Pro to self-fulfill (offer products not sourced from Queensberry). Follow the link to check out Workspace and Print Shop. For a one off payment To View More >>

They say a picture is worth a thousand words, and who’s to argue … but if so what are a hundred photographs worth? With a hundred photos you can really tell a story — but there’s only one way to do it. Not in an online gallery — that’s a data dump, not a story. Not on a thumb drive — a data dump in a drawer! Not in a stack of prints — out of order, lost, given away or damaged. Not even in a box of matted prints. Beautiful images, beautiful presented — but still not a story. Only in an album can you transform a set of images into a narrative. To View More >>

More updates to our Frame range. Let us know what you think!  Circle apertures: Circles have made a comeback, can you believe it? After many requests we've just added them to our frame collection. Just select a template from our range for matted or un-matted frames when setting up your order in Workspace.  Torn edge floating prints: Torn edge floating prints are available for frame sizes 10x8 and above. We designed, printed and bound a number of special edition Q-Books for AIBP (Association of International Boudoir Photographers). The books feature a collection of beautiful photographs that were part of the “2014 Best of AIBP Image Competition”. (We were 'oohing' and 'ahhing' throughout the entire product shoot). AIBP seeks to unite professional boudoir photographers globally, to share in common interests from the beauty, art, technique and business aspects of the industry. AIBP has members on six continents, and believes in recognizing amazing talent, which To View More >>

Chaos theory has a metaphor for the way trivial occurrences can have significant consequences: it's the butterfly effect. We're proud of Johannes' post of that name in which he explains why he's a Queensberry partisan. It's about a serendipitous image that won him his first NZIPP Gold, caught Heather's and my eyes … and led to a relationship that's lasted eighteen years. So far. All because his tripod collapsed. That relationship has been positive for us in so many ways, and we hope it's been good for Johannes too. One of the benefits has a really old name: word of mouth. Johannes has a great To View More >>

Colour management is one of the cornerstones of digital photography, it is also one of the most misunderstood. Some photographers are experts, some try to ignore the subject, some don't seem to have heard of it, others have read about it on forums or blogs and (kind of) get it. Years ago when our lab went digital, we brought in the experts to help set up our systems and get the best results from our printers. This relationship was not a one-date wonder. Ian and Jessica from NZ Colour Management have consulted to us regularly ever since. One thing's certain. If you use our print-ready service you To View More >>

Pride has positive and negative connotations. After all it's one of the deadly sins. However everyone that works for Queensberry is proud of what we do and what we produce. With pride comes humility - the flip side of pride - and by nature most New Zealanders tend not to blow our own trumpets. But in Queensberry's case we've put ourselves on a world stage where we can hold our own.  Each of us takes it upon ourselves to instil a sense of pride in what we do. We have a culture of doing the best we can. No one told me to write this post, I just wanted to mention the people I work with. Most of the To View More >>

Have you ever wanted a Photojunction or Workspace tech sitting on your shoulder as you work? We have introduced a new service which is a little more comfortable for us and most likely a little less painful for you (trust me, I'm not a featherweight). Live chat is a new feature you'll find in Queensberry Workspace (in fact on all our web and blog pages). If you are used to instant messaging such as SMS messenger, this will be a walk in the park for you. Whenever you see a green logo like this one, it means there's someone available at Queensberry to talk to you right now. If it's a different colour, To View More >>
